Common Bond
The Common Bond legally defines who may become a member; something that members have in common.
To join Hatfield Credit Union you must live or work in the area defined by the Welwyn Hatfield Borough.
The Credit Unions Act 1979 requires the Regulator to ascertain that a Common Bond exists. The existence of a common bond makes credit unions different to building societies.
